Dude's stop saying things about the light the screeny was from beta 1 !! and its already fixed. and i am a n00b mapper BUT ! You will see my map when its ready then you all say "cool" ;) ;) ;) i still need one or 2 testers :D

It looks q good but i do have a criticism. In the first shot i dont like the cliff walls so much. Try making a little rockier by using Clip planes to make different shapes and stick em to the rockface.. Also use the Vertex tool.

The 2nd pic looks pretty damn good if you really are a newbie mapper... However, that hole in the wall - I hope it wasn't used using a brush and carving coz that really tends to cut it up more than needed.

It should be good when its done :D

I Can make the walls rockyer (sorry for my english) but i think that gonna s|_|ck on an P233Mhz ore something you know less than 30 fps. i don't know if you got anny tips for fast and nice for the eye ?

Hmm, interesting...

thats a pretty low spec machine ... You ever thought about an upgrade / New PC :D

k, I'll probably get flamed for this, as it probably increases Poly's rather than decreasing them. But a little thing that you could maybe do to make it look less square is to make each wall several smaller Boxes like

[][][]

Then use vertex Manipulation to change em into prisms

|/\/\| So you get a much more varied feel...

Try not to manipulate it too much as it may send the R_speeds high... however, done correctly shouldn't make much change or might even lower the amount of polys.

Worth a try as its quick and easy to do and should make your cliffs less flat.

Hi, again. I just took a look at those screen shots and they look pretty good. Here's my email (James.mail@btinternet.com) address just in case you misplaced/forgot the other one. I could also do with a little look (in-game) to check out the r_speeds and such. I do understand its in beta and I will not make it availiable untill you wish so. If everything goes to plan the site will be up very soon (next couple of days) and so that is why I could do with something to go on relating to your map.
Anyone else who reads this reply, apart from User05264, will probably wonder what I'm talking about but never you mind :rolleyes:.

P.S. Got any exclusive screenshots for me yet ;)?

Thats harsh, did you send the bsp to anyone? if so then you can decompile it, and although there will be errors most of the map will be there..

Ouch! Badluck d00d!

Try and do what I do and upload the rmf to some secret webspace (or bing it on a cd if you have a CD-R) every so often, this way if ya lose it you can get it back fast.
