Here's my new map called Hellmouth.
It's actually a mappack, the first map plays on earth where you have to defend the holy statue from the invading hell forces. (The statue will be able to be destroyed by monsters in SC 3.5, which means you can actually lose the map)
The second map is where you enter the Hellmouth and it's more of a walkthrough map.

Known bugs/issues:
-Fog doesn't work on steam (not really a map bug)
-Baby garg end "boss" isn't really challenging, need a replacing boss

Hmmmm...i have no idea what SC could be....maybe he misstipped it and means CS? :confused:

The filename for map 2 is wrong, it wont change to it. The first map calls for 2v and its just 2.

Ok, that bug is fixed now (fixed map also uploaded)

Btw. we're on the svencoop forums, so maybe by SC i meant SvenCoop??? :rolleyes:

Edit: I'm having an error while uploading the file now so the file is currently corrupted. I'll edit this post as soon as i get the map uploaded

I edited the mapname to hellmouth2v.bsp hopefully that was it and not v2 ;)

Very cool map btw :) With two people it would be nice to have some time to heal in the first map though.

very good horde style map. excellent use of custom models and textures. reminded me of the original doom series. i love teh gonome/revenants.

my only criticisms are the short length and the lack of weapons on the second map. apart from that, very well done.

Those are fantastic maps ! i REALLY enjoyed playing them ! I think the first map is the best horde map ever. i wished there was more rounds tho but oh well lol . The wall/portal/floor is well textured and mapped. Unfortunaly , on the houndeye round , one of them fell in the lava and did not die . I noticed it after 10 mins of waiting for the next round :o

The second map could have more monsters in , or more health for them . Example : in the first hole with lava where you must jump in could have insane leeches and/or ickies. Btw , that's the first time i see this tentacle reskin ingame , it's really great , gj Arachnid . Like you said , an other boss monster would be great , like the garg. There is even a reskin for it in teh hell pack.

Oh and , good job on the names.

:) Great it's out. I`ll test the latest version.

Tested it and must say it's still a good map. Nice and very origional theme and well worked out with the architecute and lighting effects. The well made models give it even more athmosphere. The major complain is that it's really short and that the r_speeds are quite high sometimes.

Gameplay is good tho and will be even better with the upcoming 3.5, so no doubts there.

Just like the others said, great maps....a bit short maybe...but still great.
I got no problems with fps here.
Remake it for 3.5 ^^

I know the maps are short, hellmouth2 isn't complete to be honest, i made another map that continues where hellmouth left off.... i just need to find the motivation to finish it... :(

It's the best "total conversion" type map since SWars Installation.
Ike: You should really show some screenshots in this thread because Hellmouth looks fantastic.

this map looks surely GREAT.i like it.especially the zombies.
well , what comes to boss , you can make any gigantic monster.
some demon or whatever.if not diablo demon , then you can
use the King Kong and turn it into a zombie :)

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing something like a Shambler to Garg
conversion as an end of level boss.

Yea, all those monsters sound cool, but without actually having a model i can't do anything :p
I'm currently using the garg model from arachnid-x's model pack and that's also good.
But i'm more looking for a smaller boss monster, like a fast baby garg or super-gonome, because the garg will be the boss for hellmouth3, but i want a smaller boss for hellmouth2, it feels a bit empty without a boss...

(btw. the shambler brings up good memories :D )

Wow this map is cool! I must say you triggered the Serious Sam in me all over again!

Great job was waiting for a map like this to be made for SvenCoop...

I only have one question and that would be could you have made that first map area a little bit longer as far as the area was thinking it would have been cooler if that area you fought on was a bit bigger.

I did enjoy the hordes it was so sweet seeing all the monsters coming out what a thrill.

The effect of being at hells mouth was excellent you really couldn't have done any better then what you did..

Well I am a big fan of horde maps I played them all and enjoyed them..

After all what's SvenCoop with out variety? CS? :rolleyes:

fact: People thought Classic and the hellmouth series were related.

Sweet series ;) Short indeed, but this map is deffinetely worth playing. Good action, though, for some reason, map 1 and 2 seem quite a bit different gameplay wise. Still a great series though :)

it was red had a pentagram on the top and on the sack it had a gnome mouth modled on
