In sc_bombrun, I am just thought of a cool idea. I will have an RPG in the map that will require 2 players to get to it, and then, if you can get to where it is, a teleport is the only way out. Can I insert a trigger_random so it could be randomized whether the player gets killed, teleported into a sealed room, or teleported back to the fighting arena? I thought it would be cool if every time you got the RPG it would be a gamble to get back alive! If this is possible, I recommend a similar method of discouraging players from getting powerful weapons (RPG, egon, gauss).

Also: Check out my latest post on the sc_bombrun thread. I was thinking about making the bomber an object that would be able to be destroyed, thus ending the mission if you did not defend it. Do you like this idea? I want to make the bomber have 4 func_breakable engines. How do I make it so when all the engines are destroyed, the bomber (func_train) begins its descent towards the earth. I have only made basic maps before, and never fiddled much with sequences that required multiple conditions.

If you are trying what I think you are trying it won't work... the Start points can't move so unless you have the plane going around in circles and picking people up at one spot??? or have the plane stationary and everything else moving... As for the destroy able it sound really nice:) About that I believe it is a trigger_counter I also like the RPG malfunctioning teleporter:) to have it even more fun make it so the are teleported in about 5 or so feet from the plane then drop to their doom:)

The way I picture your map is a box with some prefab buildings and a skybox that you can walk right up to. Not really looking forward to it because I know how something like this will turn out.

Phx you must have read my mind. I was planning for one spot to teleport you right next to a door so someone could watch you get sucked into the engines. :D Undeadenemy, despite what you think, this map will turn out because I know some of the problems I might have from my previous maps, and I know how to sovle or disquise them. The only problem I can forsee is some possible lag.

Note: The plane will actually be a stationary object, although it is infact a func_train. The only time it will move is when it gets shot down (all the engines are destroyed), and that will end the map.

Why don't you have animated textures such as a sky moving really fast making it seem the bomber is really moving...

Or is that what you're already doing?

Well... no not really. I'm a mapper not a modeler, skinner, or texture artist. If someone will make a scrolling sky texture for me I would include it. I am planning to make a beta version first. Then, after testing, I will tweak the beta and turn it into the actual version. I have thought of some stuff that I may or may not want to put in, so I might release a gold version. The only thing right now for the gold version will be a specialist weapons selection so you can decide to specialive in long, short, or medium ranged combat. If anyone thinks that is a good idea to include in the regular version, tell me. I am open to more suggestion for my gold veriosn.

Another thing, this map will not have any regular ground, it will just be a skybox with some really cool stuff.
