Due to popular demand.

Transferred SC2.1/3.0 models and sounds to be compatible with 4.07.

Unzip the LD model patch to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\(screenname)\half-life\SvenCoop to sample the LD model patch in 4.07. Unzip the HD patch to the same location to undo.

Same with the sound patches. Unzip the sound30 patch to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\(screenname)\half-life\SvenCoop to get Sven 3.0 sounds in 4.0. Unzip the sound40 patch to the same location to undo.

Please report any bugs.

Side note: This patch may not increase fps, which really isn't the goal here anyways. If you are on an older system, your fps issues may be due to the particle engine. Set cl_particles_max to 0 in the console to turn off the particle engine. I prefer to set it to 5 to preserve some of the muzzleflashes.

11/21/09 - Third test patch released, all NPCs/props finished AND shouldn't have any more bugs, added w_ weapon models to patch
11/24/09 - Fourth test patch released, added p_ models and some missing w_ models
11/28/09 - Fifth test patch released - only old weapons for grunts, most v models added, reduced file sizes of LD and HD patches, version 1 of 3.0 sound patch released alongside 4.0 sound patch
12/08/09 - Sixth test patch released - all v models complete, all original opfor NPCs with their original weapons added, added respective hwgrunts to LD and HD patches, version 2 of sound patch released (minor)
12/16/09 - Final model and sound patches released - added bend to m16 arm, slight zombie_barney tweak, slight condensing for all packs, m16 uses counter strike sounds
12/24/09 - Updated LD patch with Tuesday's garg and rgrunt fixes
1/20/10 - Updated with Firearms mod m16 models thanks to Greer
1/22/09 - Decreased ar grenade size

I think every model should stay as true to the original half-life weapons as possible. :)

One quick issue I've noticed - was the garg model taken verbatim from the original HL?
The headbite animation is missing the event triggers to allow the garg to use it's one shot kill bite attack.

wow thank you so much thats like the first bug reported though im pretty positive theres more. please let me know of any more and i will update.

looking at both it appears i ignored the events while making this pack. this is likely to be an issue in other models in the pack.

Got another one - Robogrunts using the Shotgun appear to be holding nothing in-game. I'll get on it in a minute.

EDIT: Apparently this is not unique to the LD version; the default 4.0 model fails to take into account the fact that Robo's can be given the MP5 as well. >_<

wasnt aware of missing robo shotgun but yeah they were never given the mp5. i reported this but no ones really addressed it yet. the robos m16 also references the wrong sound file which you cant tell unless you have LD installed. its sort of confusing because i dont know what the code looks like

Yeah, they have the option of using the MP5 in the .fgd but in game they always use the M16; however the model seems to want an MP5 submodel as well - adding this in fixed the issue with the shotgun not showing up.

I actually like this alot.Great pack, But its kinda sad that you didnt really replace m16(the actual m16, i know you rerigged LD HEV on it so its great but yeah, kinda ruins it)..I hope it is possible though.Or else i might try to do something LowDef(like W_ for a weapon!But instead HD M4)myself but i dont know how it will turn out.

i lowered the res on the bitmap thats about it. if you do decide to make one and it looks good i could put it in. needs to have an m203 and all those animations too though, so keep that in mind.

Welp, fixed up m16 a lil(UV placing mainly)and thats it.Hopefully this will be good.Though it does have some clipping but i hope it wont ruin whole feeling.
Credits on M16 model=FA team.

wow thats very impressive. id like to know what the original m16 model looked like from the firearms mod so i can see what you did to make it work so well. im seriously considering adding this to the pack. i also need you to ask permission before we can add this. dont want to piss anyone off.

Edit: was this just a reskin? that works too.

Edit2: looks like teddybear made the skin. isnt he on our team too? lol. either way lets get permission first.

It cant be teddybear.This was made like..few years ago.Its FA m16.Look for FA mod and check it out.
So, both model AND texture of those were made by FA team, MAYBE by TinSoldier(i think that looks like his m203 textures, i dont know).
I really dont think you will find any Firearms developers around:X also.I re-rigged the thing to fit new animations.Isn't hard.

well this is great the m16 from the firearms mod seems to work perfectly will test in game soon. are there also custom sounds for it in firearms? i would love to get my hands on those too.

Actual sounds from CS fit perfectly.I dont think you have anything to worry about really.

His revive animation is his heal animation, same for the scientists.

ok thanks, i thinkt that an LD tor dont exist but well, the barneys of the map INCOMING in svencoop 3.0 have an orange hev and in 4.0 have the sd blue hev, but i copied the INCOMING models of svencoo 3.0 and i paste them in the INCOMING models of svencoo 4.0, i do it too with sandstone :P
