Which is harder to kill in your opinion, Apache or garg?

Garg, as it's invulnerable to everything bar explosives and the Gluon gun, plus it's tougher.

What if they had the same hit points?

Apaches' are fairly easy work once you know their patrol routes... It is possible to wipe out an Apache with just the glock.

Come to think of it, it depends on the map. If the map was a flat surface surrounded by sky, who who be the greater threat? If the map had cover, who would be the greater threat?

It also depends on the Apache's patrol route. From certain angles, the Apache can't actually fire at you, and depending on the route, you can stay in this 'blind spot' and shoot at it as much as you like. I believe (with long-jumping) it is possible to spawn an Apache in the Stadium level, and position yourself so you never actually stray into it's line of fire.

Directly under the first apache in Exhale3Platinum is the safest place to be...as long as the 4 grunts have been taken out first :p

I never considered it safe to be under any apache, especially if it got blown up by your team mate and is coming down.

Makes a great screenshot though if you title it "time I wasn't here" :p

If they have a good node graph/flight path I would consider Apaches much harder. Since if the flight path is set up right you don't get any very good shots at the engines so then it is the same as the garg(immune to bullets) besides that since the garg won't move unless scrpited to/he sees someone as opposed to the Apaches continues movement you can easily sneak around the garg and get enough supplies to blow him to shreds.

I'm glad this isn't completely one-sided towards the garg. I consider them equal threats.

If the apache is spinning in a circle because the mapper didn't have a clue about path_corners, then Garg. You can just sit under the damn thing and be perfectly safe.

Garg is probably easier to hide from because of its lack of a decent long range attack, and although the apache is weaker in my opinion, it can chew up players faster than the Garg.

Friendly Garg

A garg is stronger!!! :D

A garg is stupid!

22-01-2002, 12:40 PM
As is that damn apache that seems to insist on blowing itself into shrapnelly bits with its own rockets... am I the only guy who finds that annoying when it happens on stadium3? Fortunately far rarer than vs 2...

Anyway, depending on supplies, two of each on default health... well, it probably does depend on the map. For one thing, an RPG to the cockpit of the apache does wonders, while a Garg can take several to the head.

Ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Hmm... Deja vu?

*scientist voice* Get out of there, run man run!

I think the Apache is the worst enemy to meet alone. Especially because of it's firepower. The Garg is also difficult, but it is stupid and easy to hide from. With a little luck you can also outrun it... but that is not as much fun! :D

*scientist voice : It`s.. it`s coming down.. It`s not coming down.. It`s not coming down.. it`s aaaaaaaarghh !

I think its funnier to kill an apache. The crash thing looks so nice while the garg just simply blows up and nothing else.

There's a lot happening behind the fire when the garg explodes. Also, this thread wasn't about death scenes, although I do like the apache's better.
