View Full Version : Setting materials_file in Hammer does nothing

Setting the materials_file keyvalue in Hammer's Map Properties dialog does nothing. The game wipes the value before using it. You will have to use the cfg to set it.

Ah so it's still present in the BSP, just not read by the game library?

It's read by worldspawn's KeyValue method, then cleared before it's used somewhere in Spawn. Moving it to the global CMap instance should prevent that. That's what that object is there for, per-map data that is cleared at the right time.
