heh... the 3 main cities (2/3 of the population) in NZ have had broadband for at least a year....

you must have really nasty communication companies...

We've been broadband capable since last summer in the sleepy little seaside town in Somerset in the Westcountry that I live...
The price of £150 (£75 if you allready use BTinternet) and £39.99 per month has put me off up to now...
Whether they bring the price down or not I'm getting it this summer after upgrading to a 1.4Ghz 266fsb cpu and GeForce DDR computer :D

can't wait to play SC with a 50 ping

I've had Cable for a while now and I've never (to my recollection) ever had a 50 ping with Sven Coop unless I was hosting, even then, my friend's pings were about 70+.

Yeah, well the anti-ruralist selfish f*cks refuse to give my area compliance. Ever, it seems. Stuck on f*cking dial-up...
yay, a life-time of being shot to pieces by low-skill LPBs that can actually hit things instantly when they pull the trigger.

errrrr so how much is it now to pay?

and has it got all da way up to the top of scotland?

DM: I doubt it, Cumbria only has it in central Carlisle... so possibly the odd area in places like Glasgow, but I doubt it's ALL the way up Scotland...

The self install option looks like the best deal...
85 quid for the ADSL modem, free activation, £29.99 a month after that...
Too bad it's only offered from the end of March to sometime in May...

Looks like I'll have to save up £114.99 for April :)
