Can u guys tell me where i can get coding software for free or shareware types of the internet? i would like the type that can code HL mods plz

You can get mingw32 (do a search on yahoo.com to find it), a stripped-down compiler that sucks very badly, for free. You really can't do much in the way of coding Half-Life mods with it. If you do want to seriously code, you'll have to invest in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. You might be able to get it cheaply off of ebay. At retail, its about $200. Sorry!

or ya caould look around the internet for MSVS 6 But that wouldn't be legal. But what microsoft dont know wont hurt you.

Borland also provides a free C++ compiler that can be used to compile the HL SDK.
