Hello all some of you might remember me . . . or not . . . anyways i was taking alittle "me" time playing various mmorpgs. I'm back . . . and i've completed one of mission series that will be in a set of 4. Well it's ready for beta testing here's (http://home.nycap.rr.com/comradejoe/Download.html) the webpage that you can d/l it (It's alittle large around 5 mbs). Also, I attached some pics to this thread in a zip file if any of you cared to lookat it. Also, the maps should be played with more than 1 person, but if you want to play it yourself your gonna have to alter the gravity. Oh! and please some feedback!

Well I love to download it but my computer hangs when it plays Midi in IE. :(
So I cant download it until you remove the Midi file.

Ok Let's start.By the begining.
Well wen I want to play with half-life with develupment mode it crash because some thing cant find a animtion called converse2 (I think For got to write it down.)
So but that's not realy a problem.So I play map and first I noticed after going out of the room by the great architexture.It look great.So after listing what the drill sad and going to the next map so that's map one.Let see the next map.I stand there with my feet in the water and m4a1 in my hands Ok after i got in to....blablablablablabla.....killed 10 times..blablablablablabla...Robo grunt....blablablablablabla...

Ok now get to bad thing what must be fixed.
the r_speeds in the room full of robo grunts could be decreased and the timer of the bomb can be better set in 1 minute instead of 30 seconds.

yes,When I got on the elavator and pushed the button.The bomb exploded.

Okay, heres what I think.

Very nice map, very fun and enjoying
I liked having thee models from op4
Some grunts in beginning were screwed up
Lag in some parts
A few places I got stuck and had 2 kill self
Great details
I got out fine at end, I didnt even here explosion I got out so fast. 30 sec worked fine for me.

I know the r_speeds are a little high . . . thats going to be fixed though in the next series. And I think i'm gonna make the bomb 40 secs. I'll update the maps tomorrow.

robo grunts may be a problem with the next release cos the mp5 varely doesn any damage to them .
be prepared to update your map after 2.0f .

This maps quite original and makes good use of the opfor models. The architecture is really good in most places.

Not enough enemies and spread them around =)

Its the monster_robogrunt's that need their health reducing, model replaced grunts(as in this map) wont' be as cool but will be ok.

Visually, your map is fantastic, the r_speeds didn't bug me too much but I did enjoy the eye candy.

What you map does lack is combat, the grunts were irregular and grouped, makes things feel a bit slow. Really this would work a lot better as a HL Single Player mod.

a couple things:

1. The reason for the lowered monsters is because of it's the first map in the series and just wanted it to be easy, r_speeds are a little high, lack of room, and I needed it to be easyfor me to testthe map. I think thoigh now i'll add more monsters.
2. This map was completed a while ago, like right when 2.0 released so I'm kinda sketchy on the new stuff.
3. I'll make the update to the website later today . . . need time

Thanks guys for the feedback, the next mission (OperationBeta) will be releasing soon i'm about 1/2 the way through it.

A very good map i like the use of the OP4 models and you will have to fix the map with a more powerful weapon maybe a bowgun or magnum for when 2.)F finally get here? I would like to know will their be a sequel to these maps?

I'm aboutb 50% done with the next mission it takes place in an underwater silo. There will be 2 more after. Also the reason why the weps are the way they are is because i'm trying to make the maps realistic. And I don't really remember the last time I saw a marine with an xbow. Though in the next mission i'm putting in a desert eagle.

hmmm i tried playing it on my 2 pc LAN, but the person joining the game crashes when you come out the first door :(
the crash dont give any error messages, it just freezes

however it does not happen to the pc hosting the game. and it dont matter which pc is the host

also in the first hall, i noticed(playing as host) what appeared to be the textures of a hellicopter spinning crazly in the hall(i think in front of the lockerroom section)

both pc's are running XP with HL

any suggestions? from what i see it looks like a great map

Well one person has already posted saying the map link doesn't work, so what the hell do you think will happen if more people keep posting "The link doesnt work!"

And baron exactly why did you bother posting in here if you can't even post anything useful??
If I see another person post in here saying something about the link not working they will recieve an official warning.

Would you mind do a new .zip file that is extracted into the half-life folder and not to c: (or what ever your hard drive is called) it got me a bit of extra work since i don't have hl installed in c:\sierra\half-life. I'll edit to insert comments when I've tested it.

I'm not sure if you noticed but Comrade Joe hasn't posted since 2002. So asking him to update the zip if kinda silly since he has been inactive for so long.

As a standard rule for myself I unzip everything to a "holding" folder. That way I can see what I have; sometimes they're zipped in a SveCoop folder, sometimes Half-Life, sometimes no folder at all.

Wow, haven't seen or played sven for a long period of time for awhile :O Please release SVENCOOP 4! :O

Anyways, haha, this maps looks really good, its a good twist from what is out there right now. Haha, once I get svencoop install I'll game this one up for sure!
