Damn, place I used to call home for years. Just found out this was happening in another Discord channel :( This is really sad to see. Such a piece of my childhood and much of my adulthood, gone.
Discord is the way to go now, forums are overrated

In my opinion Discord is not really a solution. I really dislike Discord.
But, well, here's my respects. :(
No one ever said that Discord is replacing the forums. We're still working on a possible solution that doesn't involve vBulletin.
My answer was for the people who was suggesting Discord could be the solution but mmmkay.
I am thinking about forums on a new server. Just my opinion I could be rite.

Hello I am new to the forums. I have a question, are the fourms really being shut down or is this an April fools joke? Thank you. :)
It's not an april fools joke. The forums will eventually be shut down but we're still looking at some good alternatives.Quote:

Has a forum software been chosen yet?
When I was looking for an updated one I stumbled upon Discourse, figured I'd mention it. Bit of a change as far as languages and environments go, but a lot of handy features from a fresh install.
I'm excited to see what's to come, although I too have become very comfortable with how the forums have been setup for years.

Please not Discourse, it's a real pain to use that.
I highly suggest Spectrum as a viable option. You can see it at https://spectrum.chat — I have used it a ton across different projects, and it's by projects at scale.
That looks the same as Discord, which is not a replacement for a message board.
