    Sc_hidden

    My first sven-coop map is now finished!
    This is the first part and i'm probably going to make a second...

    This is the final version with all bugs fixed if you have downloaded the previous version you can just overwrite it with this..

    hmm this looks pretty cool. Im gonan get some buddyies together and play it. I will tell u how it is when we're done

    Nice!

    Looked good,(Half-Life all the way) ran good, not too bad. Could've had a few more battles, like in the tram tunnel. Have something there to fight along the way. Had a few goods surprises. Overall I'd say excellent job for a first Svencoop map. Didn't notice any bugs either.

    A very nice classic Black Mesa look.

    Excellent work for your first SC map.


    Notes:

    - Respawn is not a safe place when the zombies
    figure out where you are. If this is your intent
    then leave it that way.

    - Ammo/health/cells is very scarce. You might
    want to add a bit more?

    - Monster placement seems a bit sparse in places.
    Like the gonome in the water area. One critter and
    you own the room. Maybe a ceiling turret or two that
    triggers after the tram attempts to go through the
    unopened door?

    - And speaking of ceiling turrets... What super secret,
    horribly secure facility doesn't have more ceiling turrets?
    (All the ones I have wandered through have them. *cough*)

    - Ladder out of the water can be partially blocked by
    the tram. It is passable, but seems a bit off.

    - Looking back from the 'Hub D'? room with the door
    switch, there are two doors above the stairs.
    Those doors look like they need to be inset?

    - Tram ride is fun. Maybe add some sandbags
    or such for the troops?

    - The current? ending to the level is vague. Maybe
    add some kind of gate or check point?

    - This map felt like it would be good for 2 - 3 players.
    With 4 - 6 players it would be to easy.

    - I did not have a chance to check the small room near
    respawn (teleport, weapon, ammo) for it's function...


    Overall this map is sweet and I enjoyed playing it.
    Some small adjustments and I think we have
    another winner.

    It is built for 2-3 players actually...

    i could get that door to open earlier so you could have some use for that room...

    The map in that is called hidden.bsp rather than sc_hidden.bsp.

    Is that correct?

    Is this final version different from _v1?

    yes i've fixed some bugs with the train

    hmmmm...I didn't like this map much....I think it was because of the architecture and that some monsters had there health obviously increased to much...like those dam male assasins that I had to shoot tons of times to kill....I would of prefered more enemies as opposed to increased strength enemies....oh yeah and I didn't like the way you had a habit of making a baby garg spawn 2 inches from my face .....and u placed a sniper where thered never be a sniper in real life....about 2 metres away lol

    Oh yeah and perhaps it would be a good idea to give the players a reappaering sniper rifle at one point to help kill those long range turrets

    Anyhow hope u make some improvements....perhaps more varied textures would help

    most of those things you are talking about can be easily changed like the health of the assassins and the sniper guy. The reason why I had put the health so high was obviusly for making the map harder, remember it's not suppossed to be played by one player . That sniper, yeah i agree pretty stupid spot for a sniper , and a reappering sniperrifle would sure help beat those turrets... (though there is a 357 magnum in the map which has a very long range). That baby garg spawning right in your face was fun because everyone get so suprised...

    Don't think i will change anything of this though,
    I'm currently working on a new map, which will put all those things that made sc_hidden bad into consideration, so I can make a better map
