    What Is This Program?
This model decompiler/recompiler is designed to give you the ability to add the new 3.0 animations into any existing player model WITHOUT the use of Milkshape in 8 steps, 6 of which only need to be done once.

How do I install, decompile, recompile, etc?
The entire guide is in the How-To.txt located in the main directory. That explains everything

    ______________________

    Troubleshooting Guide
When I hit Decompile I see the black box but nothing happens!
Instead of specifiying the decompile.bat for the .MDL extension, use mdldec.exe located in your SvenCoopNewAnim folder.

When I convert Kermit (or another smaller model) the model's arms and legs get pulled out of their sockets!
Yep, nothing I can do about this I'm afraid. Because the model is small to begin with and the animations are for a larger sized model, it stretches the model to match.

Do I have to use Steam?
Nope, you can use WON. I just used that folder for an example.

ok, i got real confused before i just edited this... lets try again...
i did EXACTLY what it said to do and i right-click on it, click compile blah blah, a window pops up, says entering cantreadcauseitgoesbyinabout3milliseconds about 8x then 2 other lines and theres no .mdl file in the pause folder... guess i'll wait for the troubleshooting guide

or maybe its the cant find blah critical failure thing like kuro has... (though i copied them all just as the how to said)

Yep, very sorry about that one. I updated it when 3.0 was released with the final animations but forgot to update the sample QC file and Modelname QC.

Redownload it and it should be fixed

Yeah, a couple people have been having trouble because of that, Raw. I don't know why, but I'm trying to figure it out. It apparently worked fine during the beta test.

    FIXED!
Instead of specifiying the decompile.bat for the .MDL extension, use mdldec.exe located in your SvenCoopNewAnim folder.

    So...
Since I dont use steam, I cant use this? The instructions specify installation with steam users.

Im kind of like a rail road worker using a sledge hammer to build tracks. Then this program comes in acting like the city slicker invention that builds tracks automaticly.

(Ive been using milkshape to convert many models, Its pretty fun actually)

Yeah, nothing I can do about that . Since the model was small to begin with and the animations are for a normal sized person, it stretches the model out like that to match the animations.

Ok, i got it working! AMAZING and GOOD job 60! Just one litta complain, well to to be exact. I got 320 models! how in the **** am i going to compress all of those! Can i just put all the .qc files and .bmp in a folder with all the animations and hit compile?

And also, the size is doubled! from 300 kbs to almost 800kbs!

Doesn't work for me. I tried to decompiling the model of a skeleton guy. When I click decompile it creates a folder called "files" with empty folders in it.(Steam/SteamApps/MyEmail/Half-life/SvenCoop/Player/Skeleton.mdl/) Its completly empty, theres no files at all in it.
    Check my oversized sig !

Trying to figure out a way to do some type of mass-conversion program, but the problem lies in the .QC file. I could have it do something like search for the first animation and then automatically replace it, but alot of models have extra animations and such and reference models. But I'm working on it

What OS are you running? And did you set the Decompile to mdldec.exe and not decompile.bat?

Us assign-skeleton-by-hand people are still in business!

We can convert models from other mods (different animations) to work with the svencoop 3.0 skeleton and animations.

BTW, theres a thread out there where somebody converted the kermit model successully.

I'm stuck on the last step. when i selected all the files it says only 301 files and, when i compiled a random .mdl in step 7, it didn't make a pause folder.
