    Not bad at all for a first map!

    Pro's:

    - Cool Idea, Non combat related

    - I liked the Starting light and gate features

    Con's

    - The map is fullbright

    - Riding train B all the way around will get you killed

    - Trains move in a jerky fashion and aren't always on the track (You should see my first train attempts though, It was ugly )

    I really like the idea for this map, and I think if you polish the trains' motion some more and add some lighting it would be a really fun map. Might want to lengthen the track a little too, and possible add some track changes or traps along the route. And maybe an observation room where players not participating can watch the action?

    I`ll download the map later, I`ve watched the screenies. Looks like a good map. Looks fun too. I`ll try it later.

    Looks good, Ill get it later, But you should make "beta's," like mini_race_beta.bsp so when people go to download the final map people don't have all different kinds of maps.

    I know it's late but an idea would be to add switches to change the path of the tracks, so you can fool your opponent by leading them onto to a longer track or dead end by shooting/flipping the switches.

    hrmmm. Well, i like racing, but isnt that quite worthless in HL/SC? you just jump onto the "train", hit max speed, and the other train will never get past the other.

    Blocky, the arches could have been a bit admirable if it wasn't for the poor lighting.

    Texture Usage ::
    0.7 out of 5.0
    You overused some or most textures, it left me in boredom and annoyance due to its repetitive use. The tracks have no style, some areas of the map look too skinny/unrealistic.

    Gameplay ::
    0.4 out of 5.0
    I got bored, nobody really ever wins on maps like these because two trains can start at once, and whichever train goes on the shortest path wins obviously.

    Fun Factor ::
    0.4 out of 5.0

    0.6 out of 5.0
    Other than that, ignoring the unrealistic train racing concept, the map needs an uber load of work.

    2.0 to 2.9 = Average, needs some improvements and touchup in most areas of the level.

    "Maximum visible distance needs to be increased, I recommend 40960 on all maps (it wouldn't hurt anyway since fog doesn't work in Steam, so you might aswell)." -Qwerty

    The tunnel was great, everything else needs improvement (ie, corners).

    Brick texture is overused, repititive. The train track still doesn't have a good style.

    Remember the comments for the last map? It all depends on when both trains start, and which train has the shortest path from point A to point B (start to finish). Lighting is good and a lot better though, thumbs up on that.

    Please have a set/fixed/permanent skybox that matches the lighting, I always get a random skybox on this one (or uncase that's false, you chose a horrible skybox for the map theme-wise).

    What are you talking about? I reminded Hezus and also made a reply about this in some other Map thread that from the day I was unbanned I took and bookmarked all the maps I have not reviewed/rated from pages 1 and 2 (one and two) and will do so. This was an order from Hezus, and I also consider this work one reason to make up for the way I insulted and flamed Hezus.
