Just put a few paragraphs and thats its. You need to get this fixed prontow, or your map may get a bad reputation. Or atleast put a warning telling players if their having problems to delete the motd.
Dude i wasnt talking about the MOTD i was directing that comment to Avalanche

Re: The Escape Series - Escape 2

Lento, Hydeph and me just played and.. well, it was a bit boring.
    here's our list:

    a) less cutscenes
    b) less shaking
    c) bigger doorways
    d) working/better ladders
    e) lower health for enemies
    f) DONT HIDE THE KEYCARD THAT WELL
    g) CHANGE SPAWN, I FELL INTO THE WATER
    h) I DONT WANT TO DROWN AGAIN
    i) less cramped overall
    j) MORE SPAWNS!!1
    k)

    explanation:
    a) especially in the first map they were VERY annoying.
    b) see a)
    d) we fell off alot.
    g) in the map where we jump into the water at the spawn i fell direct in. remove the spawn there o:
    h) i drowned a lot in the first map at the start

    mmmhrmmm

the cutscenes were done well, and the camera angles and shots were good too however the camera hold time was much too long on every sequence

sometimes you showed the player EXACTLY what to do and it was a bit too obvious, and other times you didn't even explain what to do and the players were completely lost

i felt almost every area was cramped and we kept bouncing off each other.....

otherwise i enjoyed the map, overall decent architecture, good puzzles and nice monster usage (althought some had unreasonably high HP)

good work, keep on keepin' on my brother of another mother.

Also on Escape2_A you can exploit the secuirty door camera, by re-entering the code. stopping players wile there swimming, dogeing acid, or being attacked by zombies. very annoying >: - (

This map was in my opinion very good and full of beautiful effects, I loved the architecture too.

Only needs less shaking and not so much of going back and forward to accomplish something.
I don't know about everyone else but me and my friend thought the camera scenes were quite cool while playing, exept the time camera activated while players were underwater.

That's all I can think of.

Thumbs up Re: The Escape Series - Escape 2

I really enjoyed this map , much more than escape1

The final "baby garg" boss was too weak IMO , the flame attack didnt hurt me much

I also liked the ending , i love this osprey It could have been better tho , the fact that there was no explosion when the osprey destroyed the roof was a bit weird.

Great map , i hope there will be a escape 3

Puchi, in response to your part k, why would you need clip brushes there? Unless you want to wall-hug around that area then there is no need and it would make it unrealistic to have an invisible wall to stop you going into the alcoves...

    i usually retreat backwards.
and i got stuck in those walls, more than once.
on the way TO the enemy there's no need for clip-brushes, on the way back it would be appreciated, so it leads you automaticly out, without stopping at the next wall.
believe me, that can be very useful.
otherwise you have to look around and stuff and so on, yadda yadda and soon you're dead.
especially when its a battle 3 player vs. 20 grunts with grenades.

Question Re: The Escape Series - Escape 2

Me and my friends are stuck on escape_2b. After putting in the 3 crystals there's a room where you're supposed to blow up the wall. Some of the dynamite-wire is missing the cutscene tells us to "repair it" or something. Our first thought was to put a crate or something similar in its place to activate it but there's no crate nearby. What to do?

    Need help!

just to give you the latest on the update,

ive been unable to do much work at all in the last 2 weeks as ive been having countless Exams. However im going to try my best and get a decent patch and new installer out (with .zip version as well)

once that is done im going to start gathering up new ideas for a new project which may or may not be part of The Escape Series

God Damn! Seriously. I gave up with that section when I assumed that the silver rectangle box in the same room was meant to be placed on the wires, after trying so many times with another player to get the box out of the room once the door was wound to the top we gave up. I pressed the wire roll ages ago in the level thinking I had already achieved some other objective with it.

This is not cool, the box in that room that can be pushed is very misleading.

well just a quick note : bumping a year old topic isnt a way to get on the mods good side (PM me next time)

and to answer your question there is an Escape 3 and its been in the works for a long time, its sort of a do it dont do it situation, its still a may or may not happen map. if theres any information regarding it ill post it on both www.incy247.com and www.escape-series.com

If youd like a chat about it any time just add me to msn - (incy247@blueyonder.co.uk) or aim (incy28)

the map_b is the most "BAD" map of all , the zone for second crystal is very hard to make , it usually takes 30-40 mns for having 2 players in the room [ may be hole in the wall could be like the end_side of a saxophone ] . the last map needs 4 players to open last door with 10 or 12 buttons : not cool .
    edit : doitables with 2 ;] and map b becomes easy 8-P

id like to point out : you can actually make the last door with 2 people (even tho ive done it on my own as well -.^) its a combo lock you dont need to hit ALL the buttons only 4 of them and the jumping puzzle? well you just gotta be better at jumping XD thx for your reply anywho ill take it into acount
