    sc_operatives

    "You are part of group called "Sven operatives". This is your first mission.

    A few days ago, scientist at facality called "Universality" were able to open portal to an alien dimension.
    After government heard about this, they decided to kill all aliens and conquer this dimension for humans.
    However, aliens quickly attacked and invaded the facality. You were ordered to help military kill all
    aliens from the facality.

    When you arrived, you learned why aliens attacked, so you refused to help military. They didn't like this and
    now you are locked in a warehouse area without any weapons, waiting for being killed by aliens or military. You have no other
    choice than fight your way out. If that fails, you have to find radio and ask for help"

    This is my first SC map. The story is divided in three different maps, the first one is nearly completed.

    Dont expect this is just hallways and shooting grunts, I have added lots of different stuff (landmines, secrets etc.).

    Problem should now be fixed and bug free (almost) map is now avaible to download.

    As you can see, I am still working on small details and fixing stuff (lamps, improving textures etc.)

    I may release maps one at time. Any suggestions and feedback are welcomed

    Looks quite good. Somehow I like the lighting in the storage area, gives a sort of dusky feeling. Keep it up!

    So far, everything seems to be fine, just some minor bugs are still waiting for being fixed. I also added some background music (half-life01 and half-life08).

    Final compile on part 1 is near. There is, however, one annoying bug which I am unable to fix. At one point, players have to destroy generator and all lights are supposed to turn off, Almost everything works fine on this but few lights refuse to turn off.

    Ok, map is now ready to download. If you click the link, you should come to a page which will display many different maps, sc_operatives is there, right now it is probally the first one you will see. If someone could give mirrors, it would help a lot

    Oh, there are some problems with sound paths (sc_whe was the first name for this map when I made it), it is easy to fix this, but right now I dont have time for it. Just wait few hours when I have time to fix this. Thank you for informing this.

    Ok, I have fixed these problems now and updated map file. If you face any bad problems or bugs, please inform me about them.

    This is just first part of sc_operatives, I will post some screenshots from sc_operatives2 soon

    Couple of minor mapping errors:
    1st pic = glass has a gap.
    2nd pic = door not thin enough, shows through wall.
    3rd pic = textures stretched too much.

    I am working on sc_operatives2 currently, I can post few pics soon. sc_operatives1 will be updated too and both will be released at same time.

    By the way, if anyone knows H.E.V model replacement for hgrunt, please tell me.

    Ok, I am going to use these.

    I remember I have sent him pm about using these models on map (long time ago) but he never replied, so I think it is ok to use these.

    Sorry for not updating long time, I am having bad problems with hammer (random crashes mostly). Just wanted to inform this map is not dead, I am still working on it but it takes way more time than I originally thought.

    I am working on an updated version of sc_operatives1 (now sc_operatives_a). It will be released at the same time as sc_operatives_b.

    Here is changes I have made so far:

    - Fixed badly scaled textures
    - Removed all unnecessary files
    - Tweaked lights
    - Moved green boxes at storage area to better place
    - Lowered amount of grunts spawning at generator room
    - Made generator weaker
    - Added some small details
    - Various other small fixes
    - Cleaned up brushwork
    - r_speeds should be much better now

    sc_operatives_b is still under work (50 % ready).I hope I can post some pictures soon.
