    Adam's Dungeon

    A map I started in 2004, and has progressed through 6 public betas until 23rd Feb only weeks ago...



    Description

    Yet another maze style map, but set in some random lost dungeon at the top of some really big mountain in the middle of nowhere. Decide wherever you like this mountain is, I don't care. Just watch out for traps, and make your way to the end. You will know when you reach it.

    The skill levels have been altered, so you may find enemies you come across are stronger and tougher than you'd expect.

    Watch out for various secrets. Some can be very rewarding, others are very deadly.

    Be aware, this is an extremely difficult map. There is next to no chance of escaping from a trap once you step inside it, and there is often very little markings to show the map. You might want to get out your stress ball now!

    This map is best played with 3 to 6 players. At least 2 players will be required.

    Changes from Beta 6

    • Fixed bad quality lighting from outdoors.
    • Fixed blinking lights in the final tunnel.
    • Fixed RPG rockets not appearing in the Gargantua boss area due to not enough space.
    • Fixed a crash caused by the Voltigore trap.
    • Added Desert Eagle to starting equipment.
    • Added spare .357 ammo to the outdoor spawn area.
    • Added hint/skip visibility tweaks for performance and quality.

    I played this map on multiplay and i can tell you everyone hate that jumping part where only 1 out of 100 player can ever go trough.

    heh I noticed. It was a LOT more annoying previously due to there being lava instead of slime -- killed you right away for slipping.

    I made that part because I came from a TFC background, where jumping parts of puzzle/skills maps like this are quite standard.

    Actually the one i played already had the slime , but still it was annoying.One little mistake and you have to make the whole jumping again.Id prefer to cheat just to get past this part

    Yeah it was alpha and beta 1 that had lava. Took it off quite early.

    I liked it, lanned it with a mate and we racked up about 50+ deaths on the acid jumping room, but luckily enough we were laughing at how much we failed at parts.

    Random traps are always interesting, enemies were nice and tough, make more like this.

    Minators maze was quite the inspiration in this one, although the idea for the acid jumping part was from many of the climbing maps for TFC (such as the-climb, the-climb2, and my cg1_climb_r).

    Many of you sven co-op players seem to find the acid jumping part very hard... however us TFC players often got past it in 3 attempts.
