    Post SVEN CO-OP VERSION 4.5 RELEASED !


    Slightly later than expected, but Sven Co-op 4.5 is finally here! Spread the word!

    Remember, to play Sven Co-op you need to own Half-Life (NOT HL:Source). To play Opposing Force maps in Sven Co-op, you need to own Opposing Force.

    Some notes:
    • While downloading, why not check out the Manual or Changelog?
    • After installing, remember to add "-num_edicts 4096" to your Launch Options or server commandline!
    • If you experience low framerates, ensure that you're using OpenGL mode under Video Options, and maybe try reducing your Particle and/or Decal Limit under Multiplayer Options > Advanced.
    • If that doesn't solve your problem, watch for the Low-Def Models Pack planned for release within the next few days.
    • Server ops: RAR available here and here. Run updateoldmaps.bat (and the batch files for HLSP/OpFor Support if you want those), and copy \SvenCoop\fmodex.dll to the parent folder.
    • Also note that some people have managed to get Linux SC servers running via Wine.
    • Mappers: Silencer has been working on a guide to all the various new advanced entities and entity properties in 4.5. Watch the news for more about that soon.

    You can use the installer to update your existing Sven Co-op folder, or run a clean install if you feel like it. Updating your existing install will overwrite any custom models/sounds you might have.

    Gonna try this when i get to home.Does the Info_destination or whatever work now? The info_node-like entity, that makes monsters to invade certain areas? I want my Gears of War 2 map have enemies to move into interior parts of that big temple or building.Thats the area where you start from.Mostly into the first large room you see after leaving the respawn area.

    Damn it ! >_< Its just freezes.. And im not joking... Its freezes mostly when im shooting someone.. And i dont know why.. I set up particle limit to 100.. And it still freezing and im just terminating proces in task manager...
    can anyone help me ?

    Ill try to play with "base acceleration" set up in dxdiag

    Afraid I'm not sure about that one . Are you using OpenGL mode? Did 4.07 work for you without this problem? What version of Windows?
