    Post The 'Humble Indie Bundle'

(We're not getting paid for this or anything, it's just a good deal, and a chance to support some other indie developers)

Pay any price you like for five DRM-free, ultra-high-quality indie games -- or donate to charity and get them for free. Sale ends 6 days from now. World of Goo in particular is something you should try if you haven't already.

    More SC-related news soon, hopefully.

UPDATE: The above-mentioned offer has been extended, plus they've added an additional game to it. They're also going to take the games open-source, so you can probably expect a few mods or unofficial updates sometime in the future. If you haven't already already picked up the bundle, keep in mind that even paying a very low price would be better for the developers than not buying it at all.

In other news, Valve's Portal is free (to own permanently) providing you grab it before the 24th of May(!) If you don't have it already, there's no reason not to get it now. It even works on the Mac.

I detect a language pattern amongst the first two repliers to this thread.

Everyone has been talking about World of Goo. Time to really find out what the craze it about.

EDIT: Augh, I don't have money. I don't feel right about buying the pack for less than $10. $10 is sound for me, BUT NOO, my wallet is borked.. right now anyway.

Ugh, 1W laser + repair cost so much money.

I'd suggest you all flush your money down the toilet. Cortex Command might as well be Battle Cruiser 3000 A.D., and Revenge of the Titans didn't even install properly. I had to reboot the fucking computer just to get Windows out of the installation process; Windows prompltly locked up on me when my computer booted. I unistalled both when Windows recovered on the second reboot.

As you can probably surmise, I'm not touching the other games. What a waste of 15 dollars.

Sending the majority of that money (around 12) to the devs is not charity.

    Re: The 'Humble Indie Bundle'

the entire events purpose was for charity though (or at least the first one was), the sending money to the devs bit is optional

the bundle itself is good anyway just for braid and machinarium alone

You can send all the money to charity if you want to, or all to devs.

    Re: The 'Humble Indie Bundle'

I already own all these games... :\ Might purchase it for the rest of my team though!

One thing might be worth mentioning, it does say, pay what you want, but please pay more than a dollar or something, else nothing will come their way (at least with pay pall transfers).

Not indie? Oh well, 3 of the games are suppose to run on Linux so I'll try to get some money for it.

Nice. The only game that looked interesting is hammerfight. But I must buy this when it runs on Linux.
