Tuesday's 4.6 LD Model Patch

I had some spare time, so I cobbled together an LD model patch for 4.6; this is not an 'official' LD pack release, but feel free to download this set and try it out.
Changes:
Cleansuit Sci:
- All scientist heads now LD
- Slight reskins to reflect eerie lighting present on original OpFor face texture
Bodyguard:
- Slight animation fixes
- Now uses new standard LD mp5 / shotgun / minigun
Hgrunt (HL):
- Now uses new standard LD mp5 / shotgun / m4
Hgrunt (OpFor):
- Now uses new standard LD mp5 / m4
Massn:
- Now uses new standard LD mp5 / m16
Robogrunt:
- Now uses new standard LD shotgun / m4
Weapons:
- New standard LD mp5 / shotgun / m4 / minigun p_ models
- New standard LD mp5 / shotgun / m4 / minigun w_ models
- New LD mp5 view model
- New LD minigun view model
Still left to do: Some kind of LD-style Tor replacement

great 1337 post. i will have to check it out and update the pack.
for tor replacement, you could probably just do some careful vertex welding and mess with the bitmaps. nothin crazy.
also would like to get LD opfor hands slapped on the weapons for opfor coop.
FINALLY after over a year this pack was updated. See first post.
Minor suggestions:
-replace new muzzle flashes with original ones
-fix Desert Eagle viewmodel (doesn't have sights like the world model does)
-LD roach!

Hey I'd like to start off by saying thank you to you fine gentleman who took the time to put this together, truly great stuff. I'm here to try and make a contribution, as I myself love original valve content in sven.
I've put together a little pack of weapon model texture/size tweaks all done with just HLMV, naturally. Here's the list of things I tweaked
EDIT: I realize the only really important tweak is the M4 P W and V reskins, all the rest are just out of personal preference. :] Enjoy
- Gearbox M4A1 (the only important edit): reskinned the P / W models to have the gearbox m4/m203 textures; reskinned V model arms and very lightly tweaked the M4 skin; editted all enemies to have reskinned m4
LESS IMPORTANT STUFF
- 9mmhandgun: reskinned P / W to match V model
- Gluon gun: reskinned V to match P model
PERSONAL PREFERENCE CRAP
- 357: P model resized so it doesn't look like a toy gun; Less obnoxious blue tint on P / W models;replaced blue chrome in V model with gearbox 357 chrome
- Crossbow: resized P to match V model
- Barnacle: resized P to match V model
- Satchel: resized P to match V model
- Tripmine: resized P to match V model
- Medkit: resized P to match V model

There is something wrong with the human_grunts. It happens when they shoot...
generally that will only happen on a handful of custom maps. ive seen it too.
So how do I make my map not custom

You can try this one. Don't know for sure if it helps with the error but if yes I know what the problem is because I had this myself before.

Well I wanted to see if it works before saying where the problem may be but afaik the hgrunt01 02 and 03 models are the problem.
I don't know whats exactly causing it but in most cases when I deleted the $sequencegroupsize 64 entry from the .qc it helped to get rid of that animation error. There was some combine grunt model a few years ago that had the same problem and after I made that change it worked fine.
I also made sure $externaltextures is gone but I don't know if thats necessary I just hate having a lot of files for one particular model![]()
