Youtube has few videos, that say they have Doom 4 screenshots. All those videos have same screens, so they might be from the real Doom 4!

On 28th February 2012, some alleged screenshots were released on Official Xbox Magazine UK's website, but the images were discredited by id Software's creative director Matthew Hooper via Twitter, by saying "Those images have nothing to do with what you're gonna see in Doom 4. When we officially show things you'll see awesome."

nah pretty sure these are real, stupid id software denying hype. looks ridiculously detailed though, and i thought graphics couldnt get better anymore

I wonder how it will work on a console, sense they probably wont sell a steam version in my region again just like it was the case with the Rage!

my assumption is that the game is going to be too modern even for PS3 or 360 to run in proper capacity, wii-u might handle it properly if just not a powerful PC

Truth is if they can't make it run properly on a console, they will simply "cut corners". Meaning - they simplify levels, remove areas/monsters/detail, narrow down places into more isolated sections, instead of them being a more open. The truth is, that consoles are the driving force of a modern gaming industry and if it doesn't fit to console, the PC version gets the same parts cut/"downgraded", because of that silly "experience has to be identical on all platforms" policy virtually every game developer has! Simply because PC could easily run a lot bigger levels with a lot more monsters in it, does not mean PC version will have that. Instead you will probably get another console port, with little bit better graphics and with loads of graphical errors. Thats what I'm predicting anyway. Ironically i write this on PS3 browser, because my PC video card broke down lol. The whole thing is made for a console first, PC secondary. At least the Rage was.

Id's focus is going to be on consoles. After the PC Rage issues, John Carmack even said something about how making console games is more important than PC games.

And I'll give them credit. Rage did look great on consoles. To bad they forgot to make the game work on PCs at launch.

so I guess its really coming out now, the Hell on Earth thing i think got scraped and its now all set on Mars, it is a reboot and the game is just called "Doom" but people will also probly just call it "Doom 4"

funny enough it was zenimax who kicked id's asses of that time to reboot the game into this brutally amazing installment, from the previous 100% disjointed and clueless development that wouldve turned up as friggin call of doom lol

as of late "update": new doom ACTUALLY HAS a singleplayer demo
