    Non solid sky

    Is it possible to make the sky not solid? I want to have a monster_apache fly outside the skybox, much higher than the actual map. And it should be able to see and should players and vice versa. I tried -noskyclip but that doesnt really work well. RPGs disappear as soon as they enter the sky.

    If -noskyclip doesn't do the job then you'll have to make the air space as you would another room. You couldn't place nodes out in the void anyway so it's not like you could easily control where the Apaches would go.

    I can easily move the path-entities into the void after the map is loaded. That shouldnt be the problem. But I dont wanna have a giant skybox around my map for obvious reasons.

    As far as I know, monster_apache (& osprey) do not use "solid collision" when moving. (i.e. They are like players with no_clip 1 cheat.

    Suggest: Leave skybox alone and just stick your paths "in the void", then cover each path in the void with a small "Solid World Brush".

    Then your only option will be a skybox. Will it really be a problem? It's not like you'd allow players to get inside it. Just fill it with a giant clip brush so then players will think it's just a solid sky brush.
