    Source of life "final release"

    Hello, everyone sorry for being so lazy on this.

    Story Info:

    The dark lord has crushed the source of life to pieces and took them away. Your goal is it to get the pieces back and end the madness of this existence.


    What's changed?

    - Maps get randomly choosed.
    - entire random entsystems.
    - More stuff.
    - random random Random!

    Very good! Nice job, the original was amazing, I'm looking forward to this version.

    I know that it worked ok on one dedicated server, but on mine you were unable to move after spawning, you could only move with noclip and then were stuck again when noclip was off. Have you come across this at all?

    Hmm, I don't really know what's going on there. Maybe it's a compiled bug i gonna try to re-up it in a few.

    Edit: Update should fix it now. Hopefully this is the last.

    I loved these maps. Congrats on releasing a "final" version after all these years.

    But, when can we expect "_final2_alpha" to come out??

    Attention: source_of_life_2_a is broken on v7 make sure you get the current v8 rar.

    despite the billion times ive "tested" this i wouldnt mind sort of playing it again i guess, but thats after bothering to open the fucking steam again at first

    Except the changelevel bugs , some boss/minion fights were great and I love it. (big octasus head fight is ....)

    But....the final boss "dark lord" , his attack abilities are like a normal zombie ,slow and rigid, it should improves.

    My suggestion:
    use gonome as his monster-type , so he can attacks while moving. Also I hope he using agile swipes animation, as he killed his pet in skilled actions.

    changelevel problem solved. but...

    The player model using the old one "sol_char_v2" and it is still broken


    ALSO , the octasus head become aimless , I can't find any part to hurt it.
    Don't use monster_zombie , keep using monster_generic but give it "-classify 7"

    I made a hotfix version for you , download here:

    Source_of_life v9 HOTFIX

    (sol_char_v3.mdl updated , walking become not too haste in sv_maxspeed 180)

    I guess that should fix it all, I apologize for not properly testing this. I'll add you to the credits for the hotfix Kalo.

    Hell I had the time to test 4_a properly now. Did include KaLos update in the rar update. If anything is still flawing report here. If not we're done with this.

    WE ARE ON V 1.0 NOW. (Hopefully last update ^^.)

    Ok so i made a run thro all maps and checked for remaining bugs. So i did another update since there were things to be improved.

    Yes i tested everything now and it's stable. 1.1v should do it. Nothing more to come.

    How does the random maps work? Is it like sc_psyko where you go to different areas and then come back to a central place or does the map randomly fork as you progress?

    And what about the other random stuff, is it there to increase replayability or is it more similar to crack-life?

    Yea it's pretty much there to increase replayability. Other then that you have no control over it.

    randomized or alternative changelevels, one idea ive noticed people barely do shit. doesnt matter what map

    I added the option to skip cutscenes now.
    Also if you use an dedicated server make sure you don't use any skill setting in your server.cfg.
    1.6 Is the current version we did some 2 hour test run on it, so it's fully stable now.
    Just some flaws I'm aware of are that the skip cutscene setting won't work in a replay, but will work after the replay again (or a server restart).
    Metamod won't work on it currently, but will work on it probably in the future.

    It's ok, it's not really missing. I probably just forgot to remove that sound from the cfgs and yea that fixed metamod should work.
