Working on a LD pack of my own...

So, someone said I should make my own thread of it, and I am. This is a low-poly pack that I'm trying to perfect to my own tastes, since the old one was dead. This includes sounds, player-models, models, and sprites. The link is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hc7cd4dk1t...0Pack.rar?dl=0. This pack will be always updated, so please tell me how I can improve!

UPDATE: Added snow footstep sounds. (3/7/2019)

Thanks to Ness for helping with the models, credit to the original low-def pack, credit to Slartibarty for his MP5 and shotgun models, credit to Valve for original models, credit to Lev for some models, and anyone else I forgot.

STILL NEED TO ADD: blank weapon for hwgrunt, white and black Medic playermodel, white and black MP playermodel, black Recon playermodel, OP4 Robo playermodel, white and black RPG Grunt playermodel, soldier Walter, Einstein, Luther, and Slick playermodels, white and black Sniper playermodel, white and black Engineer playermodel, and white Tower playermodel.

Re: Working on a LD pack of my own...

Assuming the weapons are the same as the pack you posted in the LD thread, these are my only complaints (though I haven't seen everything):

    - The mp5's "invisible GL" looks goofy. I'd rather use the old model if the hands aren't going to be fixed.
    - The mp5's world model looks like the counter-strike mp5(?). I don't immediately recognize it as the HL mp5. I would rather it be the default one.

For now I just combined your latest pack from the LD thread with one that had the stock mp5, but it would be cool if you had an option for that or something.
    Love,

I would like if the arms had an option or had a dm_base so they could be colored to anything along with possibly and permission of course using some weapons from this guys pack

    http://forums.svencoop.com/showthrea...created-models

I mainly like some of the weapons the guy included and or how they animate differently, like the mp5, shotgun etc.
Did you know...if you touch a wall you run faster?

    now try it with crates.

dm_base is quite limited, go with remap naming format instead:

Thinking of changing the soldier playermodels to the original green fatigued ones, should I replace them with green, or keep them white?

I don't really feel like adding colorable H.E.V. hands/weapons because they feel a bit off to me, you can add them manually.

You should check the models you plan on adding or using in the pack, I remember using the LD pack that was updated by the community and the clean suit scientist was having some animation issues, had to remove him

Just realized that the Grunt has some animation errors, gonna try to fix them.

Why not keep both? It gives people more options plus if anyone is ever interested in the models they could use them for a PVP type thing.

Re: Working on a LD pack of my own...

The MP5A2 is from an addon from a website that I honestly forgot, but I would greatly appreciate if you used some of my models, RexyWood.
    @3rd comment Darkassasin198 made
Coloring with remaps could be quite hard, I couldn't find any tutorials on how to do it on Team Fortress Classic models, too, but you'd have to choose wisely a place to add the map recolor thingy, some models could look ugly if in the wrong places.

Re: Working on a LD pack of my own...

Like in the pack I created, there is nothing wrong with adding variations of models, it doesn't matter if it is just a recolor, if you modified it, it should be an alternate version.

One thing that keeps annoying me it's the CS 1.6 m4a1-like being used in the grunts, robo grunts and black ops when the view model it's the HL one, it would be cool to have the M4 from Half-Life for them too.
    But hey that's just me.

That's a good suggestion, Vitor, except I don't know how to make a weapon smd.

I could try that out, wouldn't hurt trying.

Cool pack! But are you still updating it? The player is holding the SMG by an invisible grenade launcher and the shotguns autofire is using the double-fire anims
Just wanted to know because I'm looking forward for updated versions

Dzerk, the shotgun's autofire is supposed to do that. As for the invisible grenade launcher, we are still working on that, sorry.

Sorry for the double post, but we now have a fixed non-GL MP5! Also, we added more Opposing Force weapons.
