    Description:
    Can you beat this challenging map in Survival-Mode?
    The Difficulty is very hard and requires alot of Skill.
    Avoid Fireballs, Lasers and electric red Disco-Floor-Tiles and
    Throw your Grenades at the Disconator-Boss to damage and beat it.


    This Boss-Battle is splitted in 4 Phases.

    Phase 1:
    The Disconator throws Fireballs at you.

    Phase 2:
    The Disco-Floor begins to Flash.
    These Disco-Floor-Tiles have pretty simple Rules like a Traffic-Light.
    Red Disco-Floor-Tiles will hurt you.
    Yellow Disco-Floor-Tiles are safe but gonna turn red on next Beat.
    Green Disco-Floor-Tiles are safe.
    Also the Disconator gonna throw faster.

    Phase 3:
    Lasers will appear on the map and rotates around the Arena.
    The Disco-Floor will flash faster.
    And the Disconator pretty much spams his attack on the Players.

    Phase 4:
    More Lasers appears on the map and rotates around the Arena.
    The Disco-Floor will flash a little bit faster.
    And the Disconator is pretty much damaged and activated his Rage-Mode.
    The Boss rotates and throw randomly his Fireballs on the Arena.


    Drone:
    A Drone is flying around the map and drops Grenade-Ammo on the Floor.
    Bug: The Drone is suppoust to find People with lowest
    Grenade-Ammo-Amount and drops Grenades near them.

    Dynamic-Health-System:
    More People playing the map means more Health for the Disconator.

    Known Bugs:
    Visual - Lasers might be difficult to see
    Minor - Drone doesn't drop Grenades above the Players, who doesn't have any Grenades

    played your map today. Overall I'd say it's pretty enjoyable, a unique challenge I've not seen in Sven Co-op yet. At first I was like "wtf this is easy" but then suddenly the health got to 75% and the floor started turning colour to kill. I'm not sure that the phase 4 music really fit in though.

    8/10 would play again.

    You give me a really good feeling about disco_boss-map.

    I also hope, that the other people around the world can enjoy this map too.

    Really fun little map you made there. Unique concept! It does start off easy and slowly becomes insane

    What this map could really use is a visual overhaul. The coloured tiles could use some texturing and the room is quite dark and dull. Some coloured lighting effects and fake volumetric lights could spice it up a bit and enhance the disco theme as well.

    I am a pretty lazy guy and I don't like to spend a huge amount of time to build grafical good looking maps and models.
    (This is why the Disconator-Boss model looks a bit blocky).

    I do enjoy more to script something (in this case the floor, the drone and the boss) and I had realize my Idea of a boss, where you have to cook your grenades to damage him.
    This map was created because I had a 2-week-vacation at christmas and I wanted to challenge my AngelScript-Skills.
    The Result was better than I expected, so I released it here and on scmapdb.com

    I attempted to add a Glass-layer ontop of the colored tiles to make it look better.
    Unfortunaly the textures flickers when explosion-particles are near the floor.

    I made sure that disco_boss-map doesn't looks too bad.
    The Disco-Ball emits some Laserbeams to simulate the Disco-lighting a little bit.

    Thank you for the criticism.

    haha well if you do overhaul the visuals you have the chance to make it as 80s disco as possible, they loved those coloured floor square lights and that.
    Stage 3 and 4 were real "the floor is lava" moments though, very splendid.

    Can you shed some more light on how your angelscript works? I'm curious about the tiles! Are they being rendered with the script?

    The Floor is a bunch of func_brush'es.
    On the Floor is a bunch of trigger_multiple's places that triggers a trigger_hurt_remote.

    You can find the magic in: scripts/maps/cubemath/disco_floor_system.as
    The func_brush uses rendermode Color and the script sets the color of each floor tile per Frame.
    The Script also enables / disables the trigger_multiple's.
