    test my map please.

    could you please test my map? you gonna need 2 people though.

    and why are my r speeds so high? it seems that when i look at an area through a wall (look in the direction of an area i cant see yet) they can get pretty high.
    lemme know if this is the average size of a map (i dont think it is).

    i think the zip is only 250 kb, when i see other people maps there 3000kb.... so can anyone tell me why my r_speeds are so high?

    R_speeds are related to how many poly's the engine is calculating when the players are standing at a certain point. Sounds to me like you haven't compiled your map properly, make sure you put the map on full VIS when compiling, as this makes the game engine not create area's that the player cannot see when standing at every point, so r speeds are less.

    If you've got any leaks, that might have stopped VIS, then that could explain the high R Speeds.

    To the point: Compile your map properly

    Edit: Didn't get to sample the gameplay as I just ran through the map on ghost mode, although the construction is alright (other than a few problems with possible leaks or 'saw into leaf'), you might want to work on making the buttons and lights not quite so large, you've had a fair shot at some architecture but it needs some work.

    alrihgt, i compiled with WC... should i use something else? if so can u post a link?

    my map was a but mor detailed, but i had to delete some to get r_speeds under 1000

    im not a mapper, but i know that zoners (a compiler) is better than world craft ones
    its on the valve erc site
    and arnt you supposed to only make a new thred for finished maps?
