    Adventure final

    Here is my great new map in the final version with installer!

    Not up to it...

    Umph this is difficult, there ARE good parts to this map but there are quite a few bad parts unfortunately...

    Pros
    - Good variety (lab, outside, duct, etc.)
    - Well placed monsters
    - Overall satisfactory gameplay

    Cons
    - You seem to have got mixed up with sizes, in textures and rooms. Some of the large doors have door textures that are meant for small doors. When you start the rooms are well sized but suddenly you go into a duct with fans that are the same size as the lab corridors, which doesn't seem right.
    - Use a LIP on doors (10 is a good number to use), it doesn't make textures and blocks mix with eachover when a door opens (making the door look crap)
    - Make that damn lift go faster, and put the button for it on the outside
    - Reduce the amount of alien controllers
    - Overall architecture needs tuning up

    So anyway, it's okay, more fun than an arena map, but needs way more refurbishing and improvement in detail to make it up to the standards of some current maps.

    Thanks for your statement, I've been waiting long for such a good commentar. But I don't wonna work longer on this map. I wan't to make a new map because I'm tired of the old one. But you must add: for my first official map it isn't that bad!

    oh alright then it was okay for a first try looks like you put more effort into it then most newbie mappers. Now you can go on from this and make better maps, just remember to experiment! practice makes perfect ;D

    I played the adventure maps and well they are quite good ! Make some better achitecture so we have some eyecandy.

    Help: I need new ideas for making new maps. I want to make an arena map. Have I mentioned that my map has a new installer.

    i strongly advise you dont make an arena map, unless you have a really good fresh idea.

    Yes and I need a good idea. I think arena map are less work and longer to play I've they are made well and with a great idea.

    make a lounge map . room with buttons outside a large area .
    add a secret armageddon button .
    when you press this the floor falls through and the sound/light buttons become weapons like launch the rocket or send down the lift to a "tank turret" .
    make the enemys spawn on a time based system and get some balance with lag and amount of enemies . end it with a garg that spawning with two babies .
    that way you wont have llamas spamming the span monster buttons .

    Can't you use Zip files for distribution instead of an executable?

    Why that? I think a executable is better and more comfortable because you must only browse the folder. But I make it in zip on my site, too. Now two times!

    Huh? Um, right....

    Well, didn't somebody either try to make or actually make a lounge map kind of like that a while ago? Not the two by BB (although those were kinda cool), but another one... ah well. I'll download this map and see what I think of it.
    Been there, done that, hated all of it.

    Anyonestill got my map on his pc? I know it`s late but i played Svencoop with a friend last weekwns and i recognized that my map has gone. So could someone please send it to ackymail@web.de. Thank you very much.
