    gitfest2

Should have been bigger than gitfest but r_speeds on my old machine (the one I use for Worldcraft & compiling) led me to decide that I should carry on in gitfest3...

The gameplay is fast, furious and cruel...if you didn't like my first map then you're probably going to hate this one...
It can be completed by one person but only after dieing hundreds of times...secrets & easter-eggs require co-operative play

    enjoy

My next project will be updating gitfest with extra shortcuts and a changelevel to gitfest2 trigger...I'll call the updated version gitfest1 to save confusion

Downloading now, never played the first map. I'll post later to tell you what I think.

Edit: from what I played I thought it was good, unfortantly I got bored and stopped playing. It would be more fun with some people with me. I also liked the elevator, but it moved so slow.

Good work (GIT)r-man, your maps are great. I DO agree that they get boring... but not because of the map... because i hardly have anyone to play with

I really like ur 2 maps they are especally considering ur new to mapping.

    Smile Update

This should be the final update for gitfest2 and is renamed as gitfest2a to save any problems for people allready with version 2...

Fixed the texture abnormalities in the massive end part
    Improved lighting
    Made difficult jump easier
    Added more monsters
made manic headcrabs a little weaker
Added an extra bit at the end
Added second shortcut (go up the first shortcut ladder instead of down)
    Fixed lift blocking problem

Marvellous! Well, for a beginner mapper. The first part doesn't seem to require smarts, basically dodging behind any block you find and blasting the shit out of the enemy. It is unexplainably enjoyable though. Then it goes on to being a bit puzzly.

I loved the big dark room with the jumping challenges. Prolly loved it 'cos I made it across more often than the others
Ended a bit abruptly, I guess for a reason tho... SEQUAL!!!

Nice average carnage-crammed attempt If I gave it a rating it'd be in the 70%'s.

Well, indeed, its quite fun. But well, the architecture is at a null level. I mean, every mapper with a little expirience can make things like this. You have proven you know how it works, so now its time to add more detail, use shining architecture and make maps longer.

But, keep on the good work, you have talent !
